a-s-t-r-a contemporary art gallery is a gallery project created by Alina Kryukova, an entrepreneur, collector, and PhD student of the Faculty of Philosophy at Lomonosov Moscow State University, in 2018 to promote art among the new generation and popularize collecting.

a-s-t-r-a is a combination of online sales and offline events focused on attracting new entrants to the art market through exhibitional and educational projects.

Envisioned as an entry point for aspiring collectors, a-s-t-r-a worked throughout 2018 as an online platform for purchasing affordable art, and in late 2019 already represented Russian artists at the SCOPE international fair as part of ART BASEL, MIAMI. In March 2020, became the first Russian gallery to participate in the Spring/Break ArtShow in New York as part of the Armory Show, and in August 2020, the only Russian gallery to participate in the Enter Art Fair in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since 2020, it has participated annually in the Russian fairs: Cosmoscow and blazar.

The gallery is located on the territory of the CCA WINZAVOD. Since October 2020 is a member of the Association of Russian Galleries.

a-s-t-r-a gallery is going to feature works by four artists — Yegor Ostrov, Igor Litvinov, Pavel Bushuev and Yuri Samoilov.

Artists of two generations, working in different techniques and directions, comprehend the role of the artist in art from different angles. Being the founder of the techno-renaissance and to restore the rights of the Platonic Trinity; to form a second or third reality through the mirror of emotions and reflections, helping to preserve their unique world; following thought and rising in knowledge and interpretation through hermeneutical circles, archiving the present layer by layer; or live every day at the limit of feelings, stripping down to the nerves for someone who may never understand.
