Masters digital is a multifunctional platform about digital art which unites a virtual gallery with permanent and temporary exhibitions, a news and educational portal about digital art, special projects with leading cultural institutions and collaborations with artists.
Especially for the 1703 Fair, masters digital will present the Chimera project, an NFT exhibition which is showing the works of young media artists from Russia and Kazakhstan — analyzing the plasticity of the new digital body.

Media theorist Marshall McLuhan in his book Understanding Media, considers media as external attributes of a person, actually technical extensions of the body. Social networks that were responsible for a person's digital identity were replaced by metaverses in which a person wants to be as alive as in the real world: to broadcast habits, facial expressions, gestures, character traits, cultural code. Modern artists respond to this process of convergence of the real and virtual environment, record the process of the transition of bodily images into the metaverse and offer the viewer their own interpretations of the emerging digital chimeras.

In their practice, the authors presented at the exhibition reflect on the topic of hybridity of the physical and digital body (Julia Nizamutdinova (Julia Cyberflora), Rinat Abdramakhnov (L'bank)) and rethink classic images from the history of visual culture: the works consider images of masks and skulls from the genres of vanitas and theatrical phantasmagoria (Maria Arkhipova, Kirill Rave) to modern digital avatars (Alexey Efremov/ Solar.w).

Artists: Rinat Abdramakhnov (L'bank), Maria Arkhipova, Alexey Efremov (solar.w), Julia Nizamutdinova (Julia Cyberflora), Kirill Rave.
