ANNUAL LECTURE PROGRAM

Art fairs are an integral part of the art world, which influences the formation of trends in the artistic environment and expands our sensory perception of the world around us. Over the past few years, there has been an incredible interest in the work of modern authors and, as a result, collecting works of art: people are increasingly buying art objects in their home or as a gift. This is not at all surprising, because art fairs, despite their commercial orientation, create a space for discussing topical issues of art, and we, the audience, become living witnesses of the history of the development of creative thought.
During the lecture, you will get acquainted with the history of the iconic world and Russian art fairs and learn about the peculiarities of the development of the local market in the field of art. Together with art critic Ksenia Chemezova, you will identify the main trends in the modern art environment, prepare for such events and dispel the main myths about contemporary art fairs.

Ksenia Chemezova, PhD in Art History, curator of exhibition projects in the field of contemporary art
