Visual Culture Center Béton

Béton Center of visual culture, was found to promote and develop photography and contemporary art in Russia. Our exhibition projects, publishing activities and public programs are designed to spread knowledge and engage the viewer in an active dialogue about the unique possibilities of the image. We strive to create an open space where there is a place for entertainment and education, and where art and inspiration become part of everyday life.

As part of the St. Petersburg Art Fair "1703", the center will introduce the viewer to the signature photographs of the leading masters of Russian and foreign photography of the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition showcases works by Yevgeny Khaldei, Leonid Lazarev, Francis Infante-Aran, Andrey Chezhin, Mario Giacomelli and other famous photographers. At the exhibition presented by the Béton Center for Visual Culture, it is interesting to see how photographers from different regions of the world, not knowing about each other's work, solve the same artistic tasks with similar visual means.
