ARTSTORY Gallery is one of the largest private galleries in Russia. It includes four exhibition halls and an art residence for regional artists. The founders of the gallery, Mikhail Openheim and Lusine Petrosyan, are interested in exploring both the role of story in the work of authors and the role of artists in creating stories themselves.

ARTSTORY Gallery has an extensive collection of contemporary art. The gallery cooperates with leading Russian museums and with private collectors, and carries out publishing activities. The gallery is also cooperating with professionals of interior design in the field of implementation of the most daring projects.

At the 1703 Art fair, ARTSTORY gallery will present two of its resident artists: Alexandr Kabin and Vladimir Migachev. Despite the obvious differences in visual languages, both artists turn to the study of the actual topic of the relationship between man and the environment.

So, Vladimir Migachev puts the landscape at the forefront of his work. Nature is the main character in many of his works. In the paintings presented at «1703» people appear as auxiliary elements in the artist's creative system. Faceless, immersed in themselves or their work, they are important not only on their own, but in their interaction with the environment.

For Alexander Kabin, on the contrary, the human factor is decisive. He talks not about a Man, but about people, while creating recognizable and relevant stories. Even works that seem deserted still imply the presence of a human being.
